Finance Analyst – Global Workplace Solutions

The Finance Analyst will be part of a team responsible for Asia Pacific region in the international portfolio of specific key clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to assist the Core Client Team to ensure that the client related finances are managed, reported and forecasted in a timely and accurate manner.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to the Alliance Director (AD) and Finance Manager (FM) to prepare and report on monthly results for the client account, with emphasis on the Transaction Management (TM) and Occupier Consultancy (OC) lines of business.
  • Ensure client invoicing, rebate tracking are all aligned with contract terms
  • To assist the AD and the GWS finance team with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting and other ad hoc requests.
  • Assist with the efficient and effective execution of the financial reporting and administrative functions for the wider GWS Finance Department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Ensure timely production of budgets, and financial reporting for the Client
  • Provide support to the management team on month end processes, accruals, monthly reporting and performance commentaries
  • Ensure all client invoicing processing complies with taxation requirements
  • Ensure that appropriate process and system controls are in place across the region and are maintained to guarantee the integrity of all data and transactions
  • To compile the analysis and delivery of monthly financial reports, including and not limited to Profit and Loss statements, variance reports and client reports in a timely and accurate manner for the respective business lines.
  • To assist with month end related work for the respective business lines.
  • To assist with key clients related financial matters, forecasts, periodic reporting, managing billings, receivables, ad hoc queries and contract interpretation.
  • Any other assignments as directed by the AD / FM.

 

KEY COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATION:

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • CPA/CA - part/ fully qualified
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in finance/accounting and/or at an Analyst level preparing and analyzing management reports, forecast model and performing sensitivity analysis.
  • Big 4 experience highly advantageous
  • Attention to details, highly organised and methodical in your approach to work, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and on time.
  • Must be team and results oriented with high level of commitment
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to handle high volume of data with ability to articulate complex business issues and encompass problem identification, evaluation, and resolution.
  • Excellent inter-personal/communication skills.
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken). Ability to effectively interact with and adapt to both Asian and Western business management style/culture.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and especially MS Excel (Lookups, pivot tables etc.) essential; Ability to adapt to business environment changes
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities / parties
